Sim, eu pratico Wing Chun - a resposta! ''Yes, I practice Wing Chun - the answer!''

Perhaps the last post - although it was the blog's record audience at all times - may have left some shady spots to dear reader, will not wonder, I received messages asking some things, I think it would be interesting to give continuity to complement the idea we work .... and because I do not practice Wing Chun, in the view of some ... and giving the answer; Yes, what we do here is Wing Chun. But before you can think that I will continue will talk about the general idea of wing chun popularly propagated and try to refute it as I did in the previous post, this time will focus on the points that I find important in our own way to practice the art so that you, dear reader come to your own conclusion ...Wing Chun; t be or not to be?

First of all, we do not mix the Wing Chun with any other martial art. In fact, all that we trained is Yip Man Wing Chun, as it was passed on by our SiFu, our Sigung, Sitaigung, etc, etc ... drawing a timeline until we reach the modern patriarch Yip Man ... Then you can ask; - '' Yes, but this by itself says nothing as so many others do, so what's the difference? ''

(Me and my friend and student Ialley Lopes during daily practice two years ago)

E eu respondo; Nenhum diferencial!

Uma frase recorrente é;

''Ah, mas vocês parecem muito com Muay Thay...''

And I answer; No difference! In fact it is the way which train that makes our art seem any less Wing Chun and so I will explain more ahead ...

A recurring phrase is;

'' Ah, but you look a lot like Muay Thay ... ''

Yes, but this not because we mix our techniques with Muay Thay or something. This is due to the fact that, originally, the Wing Chun style has an arsenal of elbowing ( Jian) and kneeing (Tai Sut) very little explored by most practitioners who think that everything should be worked only with direct punching and kicking and due to the fact that use several offensive moves really no 'conventional' as mentioned above, it gives the impression that we are training a '' modern Wing Chun ''. And it's not that at all. A practical example; My Sihing Joao Gilberto, the guy for me and not wanting to belittle any other of my others SiHings, has the best technique of our school based in Salvador, knocks out his opponent in a tournament using a typical elbow found in the form Biu Je, as you can watch the video below ....

                                        ( Repare o gigante de preto ali no corner...sim é SiFu)
                                       (Notice the black giant there in the corner ... yes it is SiFu!!!)

This does not seem the Wing Chun that the public is used to seeing is not it?
But it is not a matter of opinion or do things like your teacher does or how many guys do, or how that famous master does. Wing Chun has more to do to yourself than anything else!

Now in time and explaining the previous paragraph; Our techniques are rather placed against opponents who will use the most common attacks from other styles. Obvious! Someone has to attack, is not it?
Understand, Wing Chun works very well in their general idea against Wing Chun himself, teaching concepts inherent in the training, which makes art in extremely conceptual art, through basic examples. But take a basic exercise like Chi Sau  .... is carried out to be applied, as trained, will never be effective against a karate fighter, for example, understand the difference? If a Krav Maga fighter challenge a Wing Chun fighter will be ridiculous if he proposes a challenge to '' exercise of Lap Sau ', you know? The Krav maga guy does not know Chi Sau, he knows only punches and kicks ... as you turn it?

This way, you will have to do their technical work, his Wing Chun work against someone who will attack you with jabs, straight, high and low kicks, elbows, with full power and speed ... that, to be the closest the 'real thing' '... and all hands of Wing Chun should be used..Bong Sau Sau Kwan, Jam Sau ... etc ... But you'll have to make your movements are strong, to withstand strong attacks and because not always you will get hurt your opponent, properly speaking, if you do a really incisive move, or attack the way they are used will train with a ''friendly training'', or the way more conceptual possible, understand?

          (Me and my student black belt in karate - black t-shirt -  Severino, during training a few weeks)

                                                                  - ''E o resto Dido?''

                                          Eu lhe digo...o resto È TREINO E EXPERIÊNCIA!

Therefore, since we will not work in a situation of '' equality '', then there is a need to understand properly and the purpose of training and for what serves the training. In ultimately means having understanding of what training, what to train and why (and why not) train something, or why develop a particular skill or tool ... In last instance, in this sense, then a curriculum does not mean much thing; See Western Boxing for example ... All you have to '' curriculum 'in Boxing are a few punches, steps and dodges, some combos groups (departing in much the personal preference of each coach), has competitive rule and ... basically just that!

                                                      - '' And  what about the rest Dido? ''

                                   I tell you ... the rest ITS TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE!

Exactly how it works in the Wing Chun. Everyone learns Tan Sau, everyone learns Pak Sau, everyone knows Siu Nim Tau (even more today with both videos we have of the way on youtube, for example), but at the time of sparring or a fight these guys end up not knowing how to use them. It is obvious that through in the end, they seem to be fighting full contact, karate or kickboxing .... because Wing Chun will not be applied. And all that they train, if they try, they will not be able to put the fight and the worst is that .... will try to remember that in the middle of the fight, will plan and will wait for the right moment to try something that is not trained enough ... and there, will take another knock down ...

At this point, enter another aspect of our training; We do not do things '' thinking '' or '' planning '' how to apply the hands of the system. We train so that our actions become NATURAL ACTIONS, meaning you internalizes the technique! It becomes part of you. Therefore, the exhaustive and repetitive training is the main tool ... Repeat as many times as a particular movement, will lose sight of knowing exactly what is being trained is extremely beneficial!

Talking about how I could improve my technique on one aspect in particular, remember what my Sihing John told me recently; - '' What better technique than the Pak Sau? You cover the face of the punch and already sends his punch over it! '' But for that, so I can apply the pak sau, or any other technique, no matter what ... I have to train. I have to understand how it works in practice. I have to have a training partner who will not notify which hand will attack me and I have to get the timing, I have to be in a good position for it, a good feel and distance setting, I have to realize the ballast time and not let the guy get away when I attack ... how am I going to stop in the middle of a fight and try to remember it all? the answer ... IMPOSSIBLE!

Therefore also the technique must be rooted in such a way that you can not stop to think about it. When you feel the moment, bam! You have done! You will only achieve this effect to be repeated very, very much technical ... hence the aphorism - '' It's not the guy who knows a thousand techniques .... but the guy who does a thousand times the same technique ... '' The theory is that you are like a pressed spring. When this spring is pressed it becomes contorted and when released, it suddenly shoots hard and then returns to position of rest ... same with the technique. You must train it as much as you can so that when in combat, realize the movement of the opponent, you shoot your technique abruptly, the same way!

Mas é exatamente como administramos isso que nos faz seguir. è saber que, depois de um dia ruim, se não há o que fazer, então é relaxar e aproveitar. Amanhã , ou depois, nós voltamos á treinar e a tentar e a fazer o que estamos os dispondo á fazer. A gente pode até apanhar aqui e ali, mas não deixa de seguir em frente e nem desiste...me lembro muito do que Sitaaigung Duncan disse á SiFu durante seu treinamento ;

- ''Wing Chun? Não há segredos!Não há besteiras!''

E não há segredos mesmo....

And it's not just a matter of doing well all you want to do. Some days we take our setback! There are days when things do not go as we expect, that the technique does not appear and have days when we fall. Take a knockout here ... you do not get that good performance there ...
But that's exactly how we manage what makes us follow. è know that after a bad day, if there is nothing to do then is to relax and enjoy. Tomorrow, or later, we went back and will train to try and do what we are providing them will do. You can even pick up here and there, but do not let to move on and not give up ...i  always remember what my SiFu told me what about Sitaaigung Duncan said to him during his training;

 - '' Oh, had a bad day? Relax, tomorrow you do it again! ''

We also take into account that very practical application is the way we will see if something really works or not. Without many mysteries without many 'secrets''. As Sitaaigung Duncan say ...

- '' Wing Chun? There are no secrets, no bullshit! ''

And there are no secrets in fact!

Wing Chun Fighting Drill; Bong/Lan Gurk

Let's look at this little video I made to publicize the classes at school where I am currently teaching:

Antes de vermos a técnica propriamente dita, deixe-me aclarar sobre o tipo de treinamento que levamos e que sim, faz parte do espírito e da forma essencial do estilo wing chun de nossa ramificação;

Before we see the technique itself, let me clarify about the type of training we lead and so is part of the spirit and essential form of the Wing Chun style of our branch;

First of all; All the techniques we use in training or in combat are aimed, first of all, the practical implementation as a starting conceptual idea and putting them in order situations '' real '' or, as Si Fu likes to refer; in 'conflict situations in uncontrolled environments''. These same techniques are drawn from the forms (Siu Nim Tau, Chum Kiu, Biu Ji, Moy Fah Jong) following an intrinsic logic to the system stratagem and put together will other bases and other movements, inherent also to the system and that alone can not be characterized as complete techniques, or the form itself - which is where the techniques comes in its original - are fragmented, so that the practitioner can 'mount' 'sequences, or envision application possibilities, will be from the direction of the Si Fu, will be from an insight, etc ... therefore, the same technique can have millions of variants and in that environment, is not very clear what is in fact an attack or a defense since the same motion can serve for both cases.

However, since with this in mind, in a fight, it is necessary that the practitioner always have to put the technique and not stand still waiting for her by itself produce the knockout ... it's good to have one or two tricks up its sleeve to continue you invested, since it put the desired technique, observing some strategic principles.

Second; Always repeatedly practice the same techniques for hours on end ... Why I say this? Taking advantage of the ballast that short video demonstration mine and the impact he made, obviously a lot of people criticized and many people spoke well. Those who criticized, said that when something is '' Combined, everything goes in perfect condition and the technique works well ... '' What these ignorant people do not know is that when we train these drills, the purpose is the technical accuracy. But still, who attacks, attacks in a realistic way . If you miss your movement, you'll take a punch or a kick in your face, so try not to miss !!! Who are applying the technique, will not achieve the fact partner. This is to train the instinct of self-preservation. Neurological stimulus will be like a '' snap '' where when you '' triggers '' technique, you will have to continue, no matter what happens! The drills are so called because they are tools will be worked and how in our family, we train all repeatedly, for hours and hours, day after day, we understand that the practice should be diligent enough so that everyone understands that training serves to improve the technique of both, both of whom attacks, such as who will perform the move, in order to internalize it as part of your second nature, placing it in his nervous system! Now that of course ... obviously in combat, you must hit indeed ... but that's the easy part; It is difficult not to get hit!

Third; Always train with boxeur gloves and protective equipment. Some or the same ignorant people  claim that these devices restrict the actual practice .... and bla bla bla ... on the street you will not have equipment, and bla bla bla ... belching a pseudo traditionalism .... Well, it is practice! In practice when it comes to the story is this: Or you train responsibly, or not trains. Not because a punch is delivered with a glove that punch did not go [to hurt; You can be sure it will hurt yes! Did I mention it here once; a football player always enters to play with all its standard in order, her shin guards, cleats, etc. and it is nevertheless to play with all their energy, gas etc ... and during training in CT, the football player will always be with its standard equipment in order as well ... that - among other things - even to prevent some more serious accident. And because then it would be different with Wing Chun? And while you can repeat a technique (some you can not even really) 10 times without the equipment, with the equipment you can repeat 100 times .... Si Fu told me several times the example of one of my older kung fu brothers, there a few years ago and I can not remember the name at the moment, where was training Siu Kwan Sau with another student and would not deliver the punches against forceful defense of his partner without the boxing gloves as a result; This Si-Hing broke a finger to punch the elbow of his training partner .... ie it is a matter of logic.
On the street, if you have to fight in any situation, as proof that their preventive strategy and attention have failed! And then I entered another matter ...

Tendo isto posto, vamos á técnica;

But back to the subject ... could not fail to mention here that in the case of this technique technique in particular, as said, we always start from the conceptual to the application taking in mind some peculiarities that adaptation, both sports, as the coming adaptation of evolution the way to fight suffered in recent decades, forces us, in a way, will review.

With this post, we will technique;

( Si Fu Gordon Lu Executando Bong/Lan Gurk)
(Si Fu Gordon Lu doing Bong / Lan Gurk)

Bong/Lan Gurk

Bong / Lan Gurk

This particular technique I love to practice. Was one of which I trained more in the last time that i was in Si Fu house and Mo Gwun to my regular training and in the meantime from there to here, I have had good opportunities to put it into practice in sparring. Generally I do not really like to tease out the variants and application possibilities, as this would be something like '' deliver the gold, '' but I will try here, tease the body mechanics for its implementation, which is already a lot, believe me...so come on ....

 Aprendendo o Kwan Sau

Learning 'Kwan Sau'

On the second level of the Wing Chun system, already used practitioner will perform some techniques,he will amplify this effect and will run two or three tasks simultaneously. Once one understands what is the Siu Nim Tau and what each movement of the form, we will Thereafter, work different movements that are apparently disparate and that when put together, will produce in particular technique.

Kwan Sau is what we call when we put a Tan Sau and Bong Sau together in a single movement. Almost every practitioner of Wing Chun knows what a Bong-Wu Sau. This position is very similar. In our branch. We will tend to put the Bong Sau going forward, as a first defense, with well positioned elbow and Tan Sau covering the flank, being a second defense in a posture slightly higher. To generate power and support, we use the swivel base (Joh or Chor - Mah) and and use the base, the hips and shoulders together. This technique can be clearly seen as well as the Muk Yan Jong (pillar wooden man).

( Si Jo Yip Man demonstrando Kwan Sau na forma do Muk Yan Jong)
(Si Jo Yip Man showing a 'Kwan Sau' on Muk Yan Jong form)

But the 'Kwan Sau' can not have a clear definition to use. That is, you can either attack with Kwan Sau, as can use to cover, or you can counter attack with .... how do you go and do use in this way it is subject for another post, but we specify in Kwan Sau using it the way It is employed as we observe this in specific technical ....

Fechando todo o lado do corpo

Closing the entire side of the body

Facing an opponent will rarely you will know what he'll do. Only that they will try to hit him in some way. So it is necessary that you anticipate your move with a counter-offensive movement. If you do it carelessly, you can get a knockout before anything else, as an experienced fighter will not telegraph anything for you and yes, it will only attack you in the proper distance and try to impose their game against you. ... so it's good to look first of all '' read '' the intentions of the opponent, I will make him come and go in his time to pick it up and work the principle of simultaneous defense and attack. Assuming that you are ready and prepare a strong opponent and heavy kick, you will not have many chances to be thinking hard before deciding what you will do. So the priority is always cover first ....

But the opponent will not tell you whether to kick high or low, is not it? If he decides to throw a kick, he'll have your ankle to your head as targets and if you try to '' catch '' his kick, or try any nonsense, will lead a sole in the face or chest or any other body part before his defense come to deflect the blow. So, once you decide to cover priority, it takes you to cover the entire flank of the chosen side.

(Note Kwan Sau closing the entire area; if my student Severino - who is a black belt in Shotokan Karate and attacks very strong - decided to change the angle of the shot, I would like to keep myself reasonably covered)

Understand; In Wing Chun, as a rule, we use your legs to defend the lower area and hands, the upper area of the body, as most often is taught, and it follows a logic. But since we do not know where the opponent will kick in and if we stop to try to guess, will be achieved before we can do anything - use Lan Gurk (stop with the leg) together with Kwan Sau, to close all over the body. If the opponent kick high,Kwan Sau will cover, if he kick down, the positioning of the leg will do the job, even if the hands are positioned the same way.
But if you lower - even a little - the Kwan Sau, thinking that the opponent will kick in any other target and along the way he changes the direction of the shot, believe me, you'll get hit over and will only realize after waking up from knockout

Extracting sustainability and strength

Once the opponent throw a kick, they are often heavy blows that do not always come when we are well positioned. Even if we can put the defense, by the strength of the opponent Shot impact we can rock going back or taking a few steps not to fall. Therefore, many Wing Chun practitioners when they do defend this type, get out of balance when things do not go as expected. In our family, as important as we launch coverage and close the side of the body, it is to do with our movement has sustainability and support enough not to go back. We do this by shocking the base leg  or the supporting leg on the ground, when we do Bong / Lan Gurk. There are some other details that case I mentioned here, would be too long. A more clinical look at the video and you will understand ....

Complementando....

Complementing ....

Once you can - at some point - stop the opponent's kick - and in this particular video case, I use actually Chaai Gurk (step on the opponent's leg) to intercept the shot from my training partner - is likely to continue its attack with some sleight of hand. However, we do not know how it will attack, and on our second movement, we will use some other cover to ensure that we are not affected and will hit with this coverage. In the video, I do Pak Da, taking 45 degrees to the side, escaping from the opponent's blow in a more or less safe angle. In the first movement, I do Tan Da, with a variation of a hook punch (see the second form - Chum Kiu). Even if the sleight of hand of the opponent does not come, you must make Pak, or Tan or any other technique to cover  the upper area, and should follow against attacking .... Remember, if you block and continue blocking going back, is not good strategically in combat and an hour, it will hit you. You will at some point move foward. Often you can once done Bong Gurk, go straight to the Li Wan Choy (Chase punches), running over the opponent, or out at 45 degrees, cover with Tan Sau and follow with Dung Gurk (front kick), how do in one of the variations which are possible.

(Note that the horse is set at 45 degrees to the angle against the opponent, picking up what we call '' outside Door '')

(Tan Da with punch in order to hook the ribs, as variation to advance, covering the upper area)

Strategically speaking, once you supplement with some other movement, it is necessary that in another situation that is not training, you can keep moving forward looking for the knockout or finish the fight as soon as possible ... to keep in shorter distance to keep attacking and generate power through the biomechanical principles governing the generator of basic strength of the Wing Chun system.

Lap Sau in fighting technique; conceptualization and practical application

One of the most famous training in Wing Chun, not to mention Chi Sau, is what we call Lap Sau (臘 手). Perhaps even more famous than Chi Sau, since their training mode is quite famous, appearing in several kung fu movies where such training is required ...

Lap Sau is the set of two ideograms; Lap (臘), which has a well-defined translation of the Latin languages, but it can be convenient and more simplistically translated as '' pull ''. '' Sau '' (手), as we have seen here, can be placed as' Arm '', referring to the upper limbs.

(Two practitioners doing Lap Sau; Notice the first and second defense of who is doing Bong / Wu Sau)

The regular 'Lap Sau', which I refining at the beginning of this article, is an exercise in which we use largely two saves; Bong Sau (膀 手) and Wu Sau (護 手) and only one type of attack, regular punch that we see from the first day of training. However, Lap Sau is a very interesting tool to practice because the remove of the opponent's hand and hitting, or the '' sham '' attack with a position where we defend, at the same way we take one too offensive positioning through elbow position, gives us the sense of being mindful at all times ans stay tuned, both in our own positioning, as the training partner positioning, offensively  defending  or defensively attacking at the same time. as Si Fu always  say;  ''it's more a mental exercise.''

Interestingly, this type of training is that it differs very little with the same purpose of Chi Sau; Although its '' shape '' is completely different and during practice, Lap Sau will can be taken become Luk Sau (碌 手) (know as more familiar pattern of Chi Sau, in some families) that is, in our family wing Chun, the most important point is to learn to cover the exposed areas before our training partner to realize our technical failure and beat us, anticipating will he and attacking opening or failure of it first, Lap Sau, as well as other techniques of Wing Chun, can be put to use in sparring or free fighting , following some principles.

First of all, in wing chun, we work over their techniques, the 'push and pull' '. Pak Sau (拍手) is one example; In some techniques Pak Sau, it by will a pressing shortage of space that does not allow us to follow with a step in triangulation and escape the opponent's punch with a Pak Da to cover the flank, we follow forward nullifying the opponent's attack and pushing it before your move is complete (the second pak sau in the siu lin tau form). The Lap Sau is the pull.
When we have a chance to capture the opponent's arm and pulling him toward our punch, add more power to our attack with the opponent coming against purposefully toward our attack, using well, what we call the impact force. Make the opponent to come towards our attack, deliberately, it is a premise for us to enhance our attack and cause the most damage.
On a more intermediate level, we can find simple solutions in the middle, or turning our Bong Sau in Lan (bar 攔) Sau (手) and attack from below, or using simple arm locks to stop the opponent.

The first type and the most rudimentary form of Lap Sau appears even when running exercise Dan Chi Sau (单 黐 手), or the exercise of 'Chi Sau' simple, one-handed, when we remove the Bong sau of the opponent using the same hand that we punch earlier, causing him to change the reference forcibly. The pull down, in order to remove the partner's hand is Lap Sau a way that exemplifies the same condition and Chi Sau the same purpose; create the opening and hitting, or to the other side, cover, closing the gap created by intercepting the opponent's attack before it comes (Kun Wai, Cover, in English). This explains the closeness of principles of the 'Lap Sau' 'with Chi Sau.

 Ao longo do treinamento, os benefícios poderão ser percebidos, através dos desdobramentos das técnicas ao longo da vivência dos domínios do sistema . Um exemplo de alguns desdobramentos do treinamento conceitual do lap Sau podem ser visto no video abaixo;

The nomenclature also changes according to the application together with a fist or palm, like a Pak Sau, which becomes Pak Da. Lap Sau, with a strike together, is called Lap Da (Da = hit).

At this point, it is apparent that a sparring partner to practice this type of exercise is sorely needed. This type of reaction which will train on Lap Sau is virtually impossible to play alone, and as it should be, è extremely strenuous and tiring work of '' cycle '' of Lap Sau in its conceptual exercise.

  Throughout the training, the benefits can be realized through the developments of the techniques through the experience of system domains. An example of some of the conceptual developments Training Sau lap can be seen in the video below;

                                                         Saindo do conceito, para a pratica
Leaving the concept to practice

De fato, seria por demais ingênuo acreditar que poderíamos aplicar o Lap Sau em combate livre de acordo com a exata forma com a qual o praticamos. È necessário ter a sensibilidade de perceber que determinados exercícios são um meio de se chegar á uma lógica que está ''por trás'' da prática em sí. Ou seja, é importante ter a consciência de que um exercício conceitual deve ser ''adaptado'' para determinadas situações. Mas essa ''adaptação'' não foge da lógica do sistema. Para exemplificar, pensemos na seguinte situação;

But until then, it does not mean that we can apply Lap Sau in a free combat. A practitioner of wing chun can be good on Lap Sau or Chi Sau, and may not be a good fighter and vice versa.

Indeed, it would be too naive to believe that we could apply the Lap Sau in free fighting according to the exact way in which the practice. It is necessary to have the sensitivity to realize that certain exercises are a way to get you a logic that is '' behind '' of the practice. In other words, it is important to be aware that a conceptual exercise should be '' adapted '' to certain situations. But this '' adaptation '' does not escape the system logic. To illustrate, consider the following situation;

A) You managed to escape from a jab your opponent using Ganh Sau, covering an entire side of his body, or using any other technique, whatever. Until then, fine. Once you've covered one whole side, the opposite side will also be open, since you did a spin to close and gave the necessary distance to not be adjusted by moving the base away. WIng Chun is like a piece of wood floating in the water; If one end to sink in water, will emerge from the other end and vice versa. If you can close an entire side of the body, it is better to be trained enough to close the side that was exposed before the opponent can move forward. And it will not always be frank enough to do this without a decoy before ... so keep this in mind; If you closed one hand, run to close the other and fight back together!

B) Since opponent made the first attack, he is likely to continue following with a straight punch. If you wait to see this punch, or get this punch, it is likely that in the middle of the action, the opponent can hit you with either punch or kick, it does not matter. At this point, and will then, you only have one thing will do; cover the side that was exposed as soon as possible and strike a blow before the opponent does. The Lap Sau, in this case, can be used to 'clean up' the entire area and act together with a counter-coup, will sample photo below:

( Este praticante aplica Lap Da durante a pratica deste Drill com Sibaakgung Josh Shaw)
(This guy applies 'Lap Da' during practice this drill with Sibaakgung Josh Shaw)

Speaking of strategy, since you can pull the opponent's arm in a hypothetical situation, you need to give continuation and not wait to see what the opponent will do, even within so short. Since once you hit a blow - and fighting is a game of patience - as you apply a good blow, it alone will be not enough to knock out a well-trained opponent. The famous '' Mercy Hit '' or '' death with a single shot, '' it is only when you no longer have sufficient stamina to continue the fight and the opponent is easily impressed. A cold fighter, even after having his arm pulled and getting hit with a good blow, if not fall, he will not give you chance to do it again.

It is rather funny to see that some fighters of Wing Chun said to shorten the distance, feel comfortable in maintaining the fight, but what happens when they get too close too? It is likely to take the distance shortened by his own Lap Sau and take the fight to another situation where normally the Wing Chun fighter wraps: the fight on the ground. Without a focused training for this kind of situation in particular, the wing chun practitioner turns fish out of water ...

Therefore, Si Fu has developed practical solutions with Chi Sau Lap sau training for MMA fighters, taking advantage of exactly this ballast between the ground game itself and the striking standing.

As we can see, Lap Sau has numerous possibilities for application, just by some simple observations beginning in the very Wing Chun system.
Not to let this very long article. I suggest you send questions, comments and suggestions to aldarylucena@hotmail.com and as far as I can, I will answer promptly.

See You Later.

Blog do Dido recomenda: Wing Chun martial arts ;Principles and Techniques

This is an extremely interesting read. Authored by Yip Chun, son of Grandmaster Yip Man and his disciple Danny Connor, Wing Chun martial arts, brings an interview with Yip Chun itself, interesting technical texts on the system's first trilogy, Siu Nim Tau, Chum Kiu and Biu je, Chi Sau, as well as technical and discussions on the technical elements contained in the forms and how they reflect the higher levels (with an emphasis on double knives!) and also includes a conversation between Ip Chun and his own students. The book also behind interesting photos of Danny Connor and Yip Chun practicing Chi Sau in the ancient school Ching Wu, in FatSan in 1989!

Unmissable.
