Talvez pelo fato de que o Ving Tsun ( ou Wing Chun, Wing Tsun, ou Ving Chun, ou Wing Tjun ou Wing Chuan, etc...etc...etc...) seja o estilo que - e aqui eu especulo - tenha o maior número de variantes entre sí dentre os muitos estilos de kung fu chinês, expressando isso até mesmo na forma romanizada de escrita, sempre e invariavelmente iremos nos encontrar com discussões acaloradas sobre qual das vertentes está com a razão. Qual das vertentes, linhagens, famílias ou clãs estão certas e quais estão erradas. Quais são as verdadeiras e quais são os verdadeiros embustes....Isso causa uma confusão dos diabos!!!

Perhaps the fact that the Ving Tsun (or Wing Chun, Wing Tsun or Ving Chun or Wing Tjun or Wing Chuan, etc ... etc ... etc ...) is the style - and here I speculate - has the largest number of variants among themselves among the many styles of Chinese kung fu, expressing that even in the romanized form of writing, always and invariably we will find ourselves with heated debates about which of the strands is right. Which aspects, lineages, families or clans are right and which are wrong. What are true and which are the true scams .... This causes a confusion of hell !!!

E pior;  Isso se torna realmente um ''samba de crioulo doido'', como se diz no jargão popular. Ou pior ainda, quando acontece de federações, instituições, associações ou mesmo grupos de estudos discutirem entre seus membros e ex-membros quem está certo ou quem está errado. De fato, isto tem se tornado uma tendência nos últimos anos e  tem se tornado realmente algo nada benéfico para a arte. Se em outros países, isso sempre aconteceu, aqui no Brasil tá ficando cada vez pior...

And; This becomes a real '' samba from the crazy nigger '', as they say in popular jargon. Or even worse, when it happens federations, institutions, associations or study groups to discuss among its members and  ex- members who is right or who is wrong. In fact, this has become a trend in recent years and has really become something nothing beneficial for art. In other countries, this has always happened here in Brazil is getting worse and worse ...

Arte marcial - independente de qual seja, se kung fu, karate, judô, tanto faz - é arte marcial. Política é política e ponto! De fato, uma coisa não deveria se ''intrometer'' na outra. O caso é que desde a morte se SiJo Yip Man, nos idos de 1972, isto já era algo previsível. SiJo Yip Man não deixou nenhum representante formal, nenhum de seus alunos - com exceção de Jiu Wan - foi legitimamente reconhecido por ele como ''SiFu''. Mas, seus alunos, talentosos como foram e dos que ainda vivos, são, formaram suas próprias instituições com o intuito - não de regulamentar o ensino - mas como franquias, marcas, bandeiras e com o passar do tempo, essas representações se tornaram meios para circulação de dinheiro através de seminários com preços astronômicos, vendas de representatividade e coisas do tipo...a arte marcial em sí, ficou pra segundo plano...Assunto que é batido, enfadonho e extremamente desgastante porque não leva a lugar nenhum, na verdade.


Martial art - regardless of what if kung fu, karate, judo, whatever - it's martial art. Politics is politics and point! In fact, one thing should not 'meddle' in the other. The case is that since the death Sijo Yip Man, way back in 1972 it was already something predictable. Sijo Yip Man left no formal representative, none of his students - except for Jiu Wan - was legitimately recognized by him as '' SiFu ''. E justamente por causa disso, nos últimos anos - com poucas e raríssimas exceções,caberia dizer - o kung fu de forma geral não produziu nenhum lutador realmente relevante. Parece que quando se trata de arte marcial chinesa e aqui eu especifico ainda mais, quando se trata de wing chun, tudo o que sobra são apenas a argumentação de que ''o meu Ving Tsun é o correto e não o seu''. ''O meu é melhor que o seu'', o mimimi, daqueles que defendem uma falácia pronta, ensaiada e meticulosamente arquitetada para ter domínio de um suposto ''poder'' ( leia aqui, grana!!) onde nenhum outro ser humano terá acesso ao ''conhecimento ancestral correto e puro'' que não seja passando por suas santas mãos e que nenhum outro sabe mais que ele mesmo...algo realmente patético e que depende muito mais de razões puramente políticas do que práticas...em detrimento á prática séria, ao estudo das técnicas de combate e suas situações, ao treinamento árduo como via de crescimento pessoal, técnico, espiritual - ao teste pessoal de coragem ( Será que esses caras são capazes de subir num ringue e lutar de verdade quando se tem tanto em jogo?)...È ai onde se distingue homens de fibra daqueles que não honram as próprias calças...esses, deveriam usar saias!

Mas isso tem um motivo e eu não vou entrar no mérito de discutir essas motivações pois se não, o artigo se tornará algo realmente negativo. No entanto, o que realmente importa é a arte marcial, no nosso caso, o Wing Chun. Não importa que nome você dê á arte. Não importa com quem você aprendeu, importa que a arte possa ser preservada,que possa ser transmitida - não de qualquer jeito,obviamente - mas que o Wing Chun não se torne apenas um nome...mas que cada vertente possa ser devidamente preservada. Ao contrário do título, não há nada de errado com a arte; São as pessoas que as estão praticando!

A lógica chinesa intrínseca aos chamados ''sistemas de variação'' ( Hai Tung -  系統 ) - assim como o é o sistema Wing Chun - trabalha admitindo vários ''certos''. Esses ''vários certos'' diferem-se um dos outros em suas características, pois passam pelo filtro das experiências e preferências pessoais de cada 'mestre', de cada líder de família. Seria mais ou menos como um professor de matemática que ensina á seus alunos que 2 x 3 = 6. Mas um aluno um pouco mais ''esperto'' 'descobre' que 3+3=6, que 4+2 =6, que 1+1+1+1+1+1 = 6 e assim por diante...

The intrinsic logic to the Chinese called 'variation systems'' ( Hai Tung - 系統) - as is the Wing Chun system - works admitting several '' right ''. These '' certain number '' differ if one of the others in their characteristics, as passed by the filter of personal experiences and preferences of each 'master', each family leader. It would be more or less like a math teacher who teaches his students that 2 x 3 = 6. But a student a little more '' smart '' 'discovers' that 3 + 3 = 6, 4 + 2 = 6, 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 = 6, and so on...

O problema com o Wing Chun é que se você admite um jeito de executar um movimento como ''certo'', acaba excluindo outras maneiras como ''o jeito errado''...de forma que acaba sendo no mínimo deselegante com as outras pessoas que admitem outros jeitos como '' certo'' e não o seu jeito como ''certo'', Compreendem? Isso, além de vários outros fatores condicionantes, fazem com que o WIng Chun hoje seja justamente isso; infinidades de compreensões, escolas e currículos diferentes um dos outros, mas que não necessariamente estão ''errados'' ou ''certos''. São apenas diferentes....
E também há outras várias razões como o exemplo que o Grão Mestre Leo Imamura nos disse em uma das respostas mais cirurgicamente precisas nesta questão em entrevista aqui mesmo no Blog do Dido ( Leia aqui ).

The problem with the Wing Chun is that if you admit a way to run a movement as '' right '', ends up excluding other ways as '' the wrong way '' ... so that ends up being at least inelegant with other people who admit other ways as '' right '' and not your way '' right '', understand? This and several other conditioning factors, cause the WIng Chun today is just that; infinities comprehensions, schools and different curricula of the other, but that are not necessarily '' wrong '' or '' right ''. They are just different ....

Então querido amigo leitor, se você se deu ao trabalho de ler toda a entrevista e leu este artigo até aqui e ainda não compreendeu o porque das diferenças entre linhagens eu continuo com a mesma pergunta;

 - ''Que diferença faz? ''

De fato,mediante tudo isso, o que qualquer pessoa interessada em iniciar a prática do sistema Wing Chun supostamente deveria fazer é ; Encontrar aquela linhagem ou família que vá te ajudar a encontrar o que você está buscando. Aquela que combina com você, Aquela linhagem que você sente que é aquilo que estava faltando pra você ou pro seu entendimento enquanto praticante de artes marciais.

Se atenha a estar sempre com a mente aberta e ser receptivo com aqueles que são mais velhos que você na arte e que como mais experientes, podem passar algo de valor pra você...Ou do contrário, você vai tentar achar justificativas para para a pergunta que repeti neste artigo e acredite, nenhuma delas será suficiente...

The rest does not matter will matter. The focus of Wing Chun will always be you and not what others think. Right or wrong, it is a matter of choices and no one is immune to it ...
