''Melhor ter ido ver o filme do Pelé...'' Ip Man 3!

         ''It Would be Better to have gone to see the Pelé's movie ... ''
                                           Ip Man 3!

Yes my friends, that's right ... the sentence - one of the most famous of the series 'Chavo del 8' - the title describes exactly the feeling I had to finish watching the new film from Donnie Yen, the third (and i wait, the last) part of the saga '' Ip Man '' - known in Brazil as, '' the grand Master '...

For those who watched the first movie and was delighted with everything there, the soundtrack, the plot, and obviously the action scenes (and that yes, a great movie) '' Ip Man 2 '', however, has been a tremendous cold water! The film, which has a first and interesting part, became its half to the end, a Chinese version of '' Rocky IV '', with the challenger foreigner who kills his friend-rival of the hero and all that cliched movies where the main character had to train a lot and bring '' the honor to their community '' ... and the priceless Sammo Hung acting in another franchise on Wing Chun. Another for his vast curriculum, actually. Ok, I know, I know...

And then it took a few years,others films comes like the terrible;  ''The Legend is Born; Ip Man'' - that pleased few and ''The Grandmasters'', that yes, in my opinion, is and remains the best film about Wing Chun and Chinese martial arts of recent times, coming close even a movie that I consider '' The great ' martial arts film, insuperable of all time; Enter the Dragon, by Bruce Lee. Not to mention the biographical Ip Man; The Fight end which has a beautiful story, but even went near the quality of the Grandmasters.

But the whole expectation was actually on the continuation of the saga '' Ip Man 'with Donnie Yen, as he played the patriarch Ip Man so convincingly in the first film, which had to not be looking forward to the third film ... And there was very publicized. The presence of Mike Tyson (!) In the third film and even the possibility of Bruce Lee appears in digital effects in the film left the audience and especially the Wing Chun practitioners even more tense ... The expectation only increased ... Scenes who arrived in small 'chunks'' further whetted the curiosity of those who expected the third film was shot, the best of all!

E acredite, eu torci muito pra isso!
And believe me, I expected so much for this!

When many sharing sites posted the film - by now released in Asia and the US - with subtitles in Portuguese terrible, but minimally readable - obviously I watch. This time did not want to see the files that were sent to me by practitioners friends from other countries, file these with original audio in Chinese with no subtitles in English or Portuguese, not to have a partial print. But I was there to see the film, even with these small problems. And the film is perhaps the worst of all ... and no, it was not the legend fault ... I confess that after watching Yip Man 3, I even sympathize with The Legend is Born, that's so bad, even mentioned here Blog at the time of its release and yet, I will not post photos of this movie here!

Ip Man 3, or '' The Grand Master 3 '' does not excite; The script is very weak, extremely caricatured characters, small gangsters, the central characters ... Donnie Yen Ip Man leads between characters without much expression, fights without any apparent sense, shakes clichés and this gives the impression that he has not much to do ... there is only serving to justify the title of the film. The modus operand Ip Man this film remains the same; subject calm, soft-spoken, always with a moral lesson will be passed ...

The film opens with the famous Bruce Lee scene asking to be accepted as a disciple (other cliché extensively explored in other films and incredibly not appear much in this) and kicking cigarettes to show how fast can be ... If the film had some anti-tobacco message, all right. But Ip Man Donnie smoke the whole movie when not solemnly sitting in his chair drinking tea and looking at nothing ... probably thinking about life ...

Mike Tyson looks like a '' The Boss '' 80s video game, with all that pomp of '' Godfather evil '', without expression, though, even better interpreted Danny Chan doing a young Bruce Lee full of flashy gestures in imitation as bad as those actors who were successful in the 80s with the  fever of  '' Bruceploitation ''.

Who does not remember the classic Trash; '' The new fury of the dragon '', '' Enter the Fat Dragon '' and '' The game of death 3 '' - that so bad, came the fun? Well ... shame that Yip Man 3 not much fun .

These two characters could easily is not there ... would not make any difference ... since the character of Max Zhang, Cheung Tin Chi, enters the story as another practitioner of Wing Chun, '' less orthodox '' and challenges Yip Man for the title of '' Authentic Wing Chun ''. It is, friend, that's it ... Wing Chun vs. Wing Chun to know who is actually the owner of the Wing Chun ... sound familiar? Meaningless, of course ... but quite familiar ...

Indeed, it is here a note; Why the hell someone would sing his name and the name of your style before fighting ???? This is actually more a trend that was released with the first '' Ip Man '' and that became fashion and success there in Asia, here, does not seem to make any sense ... another point that out choreographies where everything resolves with Chain Punches and Dung Gurk, this is another extremely rough point the film ...

Even the character Wing Sing, played by Lynn Hung, escapes; It is the central part of drama of the the movie. But with a plot so consistent than the cold coffee on a Saturday morning after a hangover for all the last night, even if she cried so much than the characters of Thalia in Mexican soap operas, would not bring any grace to the film ...
The fight scenes, moreover, remain the same as always ... there is no novelty. Perhaps the best scenes of the film - taking that very low base that Donnie is against Tyson and that someone identified for the hell serves it, please comment here - are really the Ip Man vs Frank, and struggles with Pa Chan Tous between Ip Man and Cheung Chi Tin. But in all others, there is a certain exaggeration ...Forget the Muay Thay guy! Everything will summarize in Chain Punches and Dung Gurk ... Ah, life would be so beautiful if it were ...

The rest of the film is very redundant and does not add much. Indeed, the film does not excite the opening to the closing credits. Just who is really fanatic by any Chinese movie will like. If there are people who likes Bruce Lee resurging from the grave to knock out the death (!!!!), Will be people who will like Ip Man 3 ...

( Estranho não é? Mas tem gente que gosta!)
(Strange is not it? But there are people who like ...)

Não vou dar 'spoiler' no roteiro, mas recomendo que você amigo leitor, assista e tire suas próprias conclusões...A nossa aqui é a mesma do Chaves;

- ''Seria melhor ter ido ver o filme do Pelé...''

Realmente!

I will not give spoiler in the script, but I recommend you dear reader, watch the film and draw your own conclusions ... Our here is the same of  ''Chavo del 8'';

- '' It would be better to have gone to see the Pelé's movie ... ''

Really!

O desafiante de Yip Man - The Yip Man's Challenger

While '' Yip Man 3 '', continuing saga known as '' The Grandmaster '' with Donnie Yen and (amazingly) Mike Tyson, don't have your premiere here in Brazil, and all the expectation surrounding the movie only increases (yes, half of the practitioners of wing chun in Brazil have seen sneak peeks of the film in recent weeks, including the fight scene between Donnie and Tyson), I remembered that there is an interesting account of Sitaaigung Duncan Leung about Yip Man faced a their challengers within their own school. Ie a classroom account of actual combat between Yip Man and challenging!
I reproduce here a translation mine - one rough so obviously - about this interesting story ...

                                                          O Desafiante de Yip Man
* Por Sitaaigung Duncan Leung

"Existiam estórias sobre os encontros marciais do SiFu, tanto em Foshan como em Hong Kong. Estes episódios tinham diferentes apelidos, tipo ;

                                                             The Yip Man's Challenger

* By Sitaaigung Duncan Leung

"There were stories about martial meetings of SiFu both in Foshan and Hong Kong These episodes had different nicknames, like,
-." Doubling the barrel of a gun "
- "Breaking wooden pillars with kicks."

However, Si Fu did not tell these stories, however neither denied nor acknowledged that had happened.
When the SiFu came to Hong Kong in 1949, he had been dismissed and appealed to teach Kung Fu. In those days the Wing Chun was not known in Hong Kong. To attract students at his academy, he had to disclose it.
There were numerous challengers. Those who had a real interest later end up becoming their students, but those who showed signs of contempt, invariably end up on the floor or in the hospital.

I witnessed an episode a few weeks after joining a gym (NT as a regular student), who later would become something common in my own schools. Four or five of us were training when a man with over thirty years came asking for SiFu. We thought he was one of the older brothers of Kung Fu, as the SiFu had many senior students who were older than us.
The Si Fu was taking his regular rest (after lunch) in the cubicle behind a curtain. An unusual aroma emanating from the place, different to that of cigarette smoke. Later we would discover that it was and end up used to that.
He must have heard our conversation with the man as he left the cubicle wearing wears white shirt and black pants. As he came close to the man he motioned for us to continue training. Their conversation did not take long. He turned around and told us to take a step to the side. Not knowing what was going on we went out there and we stood against the walls.

The Si Fu was 62, short stature and his weight was very light. He probably had an average height of one meter and fifty weighed 55 k he was shot down and stared blankly. His gait was upright same- and slightly tilted back, giving the impression that he was afraid to take a step foward. When he walked he became their heels firmly on the ground. I remember once he told Bruce Lee, in my presence, it was not good to walk with your heels off the ground, a way of walking unmistakable in Bruce Lee movies. I later learned to walk with heels unsteadily in ground implies a short lifetime.
Unfortunately the Si Fu was sure that's what he said. Bruce Lee died when he was only 33 years old.

With both hands behind your body, SiFu informally stood in his left foot. He raised his right leg until your right knee was above his waist and the sole of your right foot facing the challenger. He gave the impression that he would stamp the opponent with the sole of his right foot.

The challenger was much younger, taller and heavier. In fighting stance he was used to being, raised his arms closing his fists tightly and got ready to attack. Its base was low, and he raised his chest.  was Zhu Mantis (Zhu Jia Tang Lang) It was really impressive standing there like that.

Si Fu threatened to kick with his right foot and the young move forward quickly crossing his forearms and tried to block the shot of SiFu. He had intended to interfere with the right of SiFu leg and push down. Soon he would launch forward and would punch up with the intention of attacking the throat of SiFu. Before his fists could reach right leg of SiFu, SiFu stamped his right foot abruptly and heavily, avoiding punches challenging and simultaneously triggered his left foot to stamp your left sole chest of the opponent sending him against the wall. The young challenger fell and lay on the ground with blood gushing from his mouth. SiFu asked us to take you up to the street corner and he returned to his cubicle. ''

* NT Duncan Leung became a private disciple , taking private lessons (Yap Sat Dai Gee) with Si Jo Yip Man at his residence, after a short period as a regular student of the school of Yip Man, like To Give (regular student)

Novos videos de Yip Man 3 - New Videos From Yip Man 3

First of all, I would like to wish you all readers of  Dido's Blog a Happy New Year !!! That 2016 is full of struggles, achievements and victories for us all! :)

Those who follow the blog here already know I'm not one, but with both feet behind the new film starring Donnie Yen, for the continuation of the (now) trilogy '' Yip Man '', known in Brazil as' 'The Grandmaster' and therefore, have avoided the most comment on the film.

Posters and photos of filming were disclosed will exhaust the last month in own profile Donnie Yen in social networks and on your Facebook. I avoided the most comment on that, because to me, so far, the film that best portrays about what is being inside a Mo Lam and what I can call '' The great movie about martial arts the last five years '' The Grandmasters remains, Wong Kai War and the great ''The Final Fight; Yip Man'' as one of the best biographies ... but inevitably this would be an issue that sooner or later would have to speak here ....

When I first saw the announcement that Mike Tyson would participate in the film, I felt too weird! So my suspicions gave up down the drain, as in mid-November, a photo was published where Tyson appears with the broken finger, (for trying to punch for real!) Donnie during the filming of the fight scenes .. then ..Imaginei that the guys were not kidding ....

But then, a Facebook friend from another country released unpublished excerpts from the fight scene between Mike Tyson and Donnie Yen filmed on amateur camera inside the cinema ..... and my suspicions and mistrust returned with a vengeance, since all is well .... As would be ridiculous somewhat inelegant display these images here show the trailer, which is pretty cool.

I did not understand yet and Thai Boxers, Bruce Lee, Mike Tyson and Yip Man will be in the same script, but that by itself, already generates a certain curiosity, do you?

It was then announced that Bruce Lee would key role in the new plot, which made me have a good expectation ... until, here comes the scene and friends .... I will not take more comment .... once their own conclusions ....

We can only hope, really, what will come of this new movie ...
