Este era um projeto antigo que por muito tempo, foi postergado devido á inúmeros motivos. Na verdade, não me sentia confortável ainda em criar ou lançar um site oficial, mesmo que o foco fosse a escola e não a minha pessoa - como hoje entendo que é a parte mais importante, a escola -, pelo simples fato de que não me sentia competente o suficiente para tal...E também porque o site oficial da escola sede da Brazilian Wing Chun ia muito bem! Claro existiam outros motivos também, mas que eu possa colocar aqui , talvez estes tenham sido os mais importantes...

- '' Mas já que eu tenho o blog, pra quê um site?''

 Era o que eu sempre pensava até alguns anos atrás. Mas como muita gente - principalmente aqui em Recife - gostava e gosta muito de questionar as escolas, pessoas e tudo o mais relativo a arte ( Deixe-me colocar de forma melhor e mais direta; Por conta de uma questão de restrição de mercado, é muito fácil que aconteça de um mestre tentar colocar ''dúvidas'' no público leigo sobre seu concorrente direto como maneira de passar a ideia de que a sua escola é a melhor, a mais próxima da raíz, isso ou aquilo o outro...O que colocando em miúdos, é pura babaquice), por várias vezes me vi sendo questionado e colocado em situações inadequadas - inclusive por pessoas que  se dizem ''experts'' na arte e sinceramente, ter de ficar explicando por A mais B esses aspectos, é bem tedioso...

Levando em conta que este blog é relativamente conhecido, mas muito embora, quase inexistente na minha própria cidade, abrangendo um público do sudeste muito maior do que o da minha cidade, achei que fosse a hora de voltar a trabalhar neste antigo projeto que era o site oficial do nosso grupo aqui em Recife. Afinal, como SiFu mesmo disse; - '' Você é meu estudante...vem pra cá e treina aqui, mas deve construir sua experiência quando estiver em sua cidade.''

After all, as SiFu himself said; "You are my student ... come here and train here, but you must build your experience when you are in your city."

 

 

O layout do site foi todo pensado para ser algo neutro, que remetesse a ideia de que a parte mais importante que temos é a escola. Por isso, não há fotos minhas nos layouts como plano de fundo, por exemplo. As fotos das facas com as laminas apontadas para cima e para fora, remetem a um simbolismo intrínseco e tem um significado que nos lembra a própria conduta da escola de maneira geral.


Um ponto importante aqui; Na forma ''tradicional'', quando colocamos fotos, ou cadeiras dos ancestrais no Jiu Paai, ou simplesmente posicionamos os selos com os nomes dos ancestrais, por costume ( e aqui não vou esmiuçar todos os porquês) sempre colocamos os mais antigos posicionados á direita de quem vê. Por isso, a cadeira da direita é sempre reservada ao grande líder da família em fotos tradicionais, etc, etc... No caso do site, eu poderia ter colocado as fotos com SiFu á direita da tela, mas como muitas pessoas tem o entendimento comum de posicionamento á partir da esquerda para direita( da maneira como escrevemos por exemplo; começando da esquerda para a direita) , achei melhor colocar da maneira ocidental mesmo, como a primeira e mais importante foto ( a que estou ladeando SiFu com meu SiHing Wesley) como primeira foto.

Na verdade, todas as fotos foram colocadas no site junto com textos, músicas e vídeos de maneira estrategicamente pensada. A música de ambiente não deveria ser muito longa, bastando uma vinheta de um minuto que pode ser pausada ao gosto do visitante; As primeiras fotos na aba ''galeria'' ressaltam nossos ancestrais genealógicos mais próximos e nosso SiFu; O texto sobre a história do sistema acompanha pequenas notas sobre nossos ancestrais diretos e sobre meu SiFu, além de um pequeno parágrafo sobre a estrutura do sistema Wing Chun; Temos uma aba de ''parceiros'' que são as escolas amigas ( na verdade, não caberia todas as escolas amigas e parceiras em um espaço tão pequeno, por isso ainda estou avaliando se esse espaço pode vir a ser ''rotativo'') e a escola que nos dá suporte ao treinamento aqui em Recife, além de outras coisas...
 

Por isso, esse projeto demorou bastante á ser realizado e ainda sim, existem muitos pontos á serem melhorados, que serão devidamente organizados e desenvolvidos com o passar do tempo. O importante é que essa seja uma ferramenta que possa viabilizar ao público - recifense em específico - sobre a nossa escola, nossa metodologia, os parâmetros usados em nossa escola ao seguir as determinações da escola Sede em Salvador. Além de claro, tirar todas as dúvidas possíveis sobre o estilo.

The important thing is that this is a tool that can make the public - specific remarks - about our school, our methodology, the parameters used in our school by following the determinations of the Headquarters school in Salvador. Besides of course, take away all possible doubts about the style.

Assim, sendo utilizado como uma ferramenta que vise informar ao público leigo sobre nosso trabalho, o site também tem a missão de ser um local onde as pessoas poderão se informar mais sobre nossa escola aqui em Recife e região. Confira lá. Espero sinceramente que gostem!!

Graças ao meu então aluno Augusto Pereira, assim que retornei a Recife da minha ultima ida á casa de SiFu, comecei já no mês seguinte a lecionar no Centro de artes Marciais Bushido, que fica no centro do Recife até hoje. Até então, eu não imaginava que o nosso país passaria por uma crise e a falta de grana me faria passar mais tempo longe da escola do que eu havia planejado. Mas de toda a sorte, alguns meses depois, eu já estava com uma turma formada e as aulas aconteciam sempre três vezes por semana com três horas de treino em média.

Thanks to my then student Augusto Pereira, as soon as I returned to Recife from my last trip to SiFu's house, I began the following month to teach at the Bushido Martial Arts Center, which is in the center of Recife until today. Until then, I had not imagined that our country would go through a crisis and the lack of money would make me spend more time away from school than I had planned. But by all means, a few months later, I was already with a class, and classes always happened three times a week with three hours of training on average.


A minha primeira turma dessa fase, com exceção de um único aluno que expulsei devido á falta de disciplina, se tornaram amigos pessoais e alguns, continuam treinando , pelo menos pelo que soube de oitiva, mesmo não frequentando nossa escola, continuam praticando. Assim foi com Elias Junior e Ialley Lopes.
Elias era meu vizinho desde quando eu ainda morava com meus pais e foi ele quem trouxe Ialley para a nossa escola, sendo seu Gai Suy Yan ( apresentador formal). Em pouco tempo, ambos estavam dominando os básicos do primeiro nível com bastante segurança. Você pode ler os seus depoimentos na página ''Depoimentos'', logo acima.

My first class of this phase, with the exception of a single student that I expelled due to lack of discipline, became personal friends and some, continue to train, at least for what I learned about otives, even though they do not attend our school, they continue to practice. So it was with Elias Junior and Ialley Lopes.

Elias had been my neighbor since when I still lived with my parents and it was he who brought Ialley to our school, being his Gai Suy Yan (formal presenter). In a short time, both were mastering the basics of the first level quite safely. You can read their testimonials on the '' Testimonials '' page, just above.

Como o centro de artes marciais Bushido também envolviam outras práticas marciais em horários próximos, alunos de Muay Thay e de outras modalidades muitas vezes assistiam nossos treinos e ficavam bastante curiosos em relação ao que estávamos treinando. Certa vez um sujeito, proprietário de uma academia de MMA, chegou a mandar um desafio para mim, dizendo que em alguns dias viria lutar comigo. Então, orientado por SiFu, não mandei recado de volta e esperei para que ele aparecesse lá na escola, mesmo que pra qualquer outra coisa.
 Sendo assim, quando o encontrei,  disse ao tal sujeito que se ele quisesse realmente lutar, faríamos ás portas fechadas e com a chave da porta de saída no meu bolso; A única maneira de ele sair dali era me nocauteando ou sendo chutado de lá pra fora, exatamente como Sitaaigung Duncan fazia nos anos 70. O cara nunca mais voltou lá....

As the Bushido martial arts center also involved other martial practices at close quarters, students of Muay Thay and other modalities often attended our training and were quite curious about what we were training. Once a guy, owner of an MMA academy, even sent a challenge for me, saying that in a few days he would come and fight me. Then, guided by SiFu, I did not send a message back and waited for him to show up at school, even for anything else.
So when I met him, I told the guy that if he really wanted to fight, we would do the doors closed and the key to the exit door in my pocket; The only way he could get out of there was by knocking me out or getting kicked out, just like Sitaaigung Duncan did in the 70s. The guy never came back there ....

Desafios eram constantes lá. Na grande maioria das vezes, nenhum desafio era recusado. E isso era muito saudável, no sentido de que na grande maioria das vezes, fazíamos a luta e saíamos de lá não como inimigos, mas fazíamos amizade com praticantes de outras escolas e alguns tornavam-se nossos alunos.

Challenges were constant there. For the most part, no challenge was turned down. And that was very healthy, in the sense that most of the time we would fight and we would not go out there as enemies, but we would make friends with practitioners from other schools and some would become our students.

Certo dia, um imprevisto em relação á reforma da minha casa me impediu de chegar na escola com antecedência. Apesar de tudo, fiz o possível para chegar á escola, mesmo com mais de uma hora de atraso. Ao chegar, encontrei Ialley, sentado, me esperando, sozinho...olhando pro chão, com um leve corte no lábio inferior.

One day, an unforeseen incident with the renovation of my house prevented me from arriving at school in advance. After all, I did my best to get to school, even more than an hour late. Upon arriving, I found Ialley, sitting, waiting for me, alone ... looking down, with a slight cut on his lower lip.

- ''Onde estão todos?''
Perguntei a Ialley assim que cheguei;

- ''Where is everyone?''

I asked Ialley as soon as I arrived;

- ''Não chegaram ainda...''

- '' They have not arrived yet ... ''

- ''Não? E aquelas luvas de boxe espalhadas ali no canto?''

- ''No? And those boxing gloves scattered there in the corner? ''

- ''Então, chegou uma turma aqui de uns quatro caras e um deles perguntou por você...''

- ''Tá e dai?''

"Okay, so what's the big deal?"

-'' Daí que ele disse que queria lutar e como eu não sabia que horas você chegaria, pedi pra esperar e ele até achou que eu fosse o instrutor. Como ele insistiu, nós lutamos...''

-"So he said that he wanted to fight and because I did not know what time you would arrive, I asked him to wait and he even thought that I was the instructor. As he insisted, we fought ... ''

- ''Ele te acertou pelo visto...''
- '' And He hit you...

Quando perguntei isso, achava que Ialley teria sido derrotado. Afinal, ainda um iniciante, Ialley já sabia fazer algumas coisas, mas não possuía ainda um bom repertório técnico. Mas ele me surpreendeu quando, sorrindo, disse;

When I asked that, I thought that Ialley would have been defeated. After all, he was still a beginner, Ialley already knew how to do some things, but he did not yet have a good technical repertoire. But he surprised me when, smiling, he said;

- '' Que nada! Foi tranquilo até! O soco dele foi apenas um, eu não sabia que ele viria pra valer. Quando ele tentou avançar denovo, apliquei Pak Sau com Li Wan Kuen ,eu o acertei fazendo ele recuar...Daí pra frente ele não quis mais lutar...''

- '' Nothing! The fight was quiet for me! His punch was just one, I did not know he was coming for real. When he tried to move forward again, I applied Pak Sau followed by Li Wan Kuen - chase punches - I hit him and making him retreat ... Then he did not want to fight ... '

- ''E não quis nem me esperar pra lutarmos?''

"'And did not even wait for me to fight?' '

-'' Não...o meu Pak Sau foi suficiente..''

- '' No ... my Pak Sau was enough .. ''

- ''Ah que pena... Gostaria de ter batido nele também...'' ( risos)

Então, seguimos para o nosso treino regular em meio a risadas e um certo sentimento de orgulho, por Ialley ter defendido tão bem o nosso núcleo. O dia tinha sido proveitoso...

Histórias de um Mo Gun; Dido encontra um lutador do UFC! Stories of a Mo Gun; Dido meets a UFC fighter!

Estávamos em Salvador, era dezembro e um calor enorme atrapalhava e muito o nosso desempenho. No entanto, meu Si Hing João Gilberto, a despeito de qualquer coisa, se prontificou a fazer a checagem de meus básicos no primeiro dia de treinamento, um domingo e tinha sido tudo ok. O treinamento físico prosseguiu normalmente e meu desempenho estava muito bom! Obviamente isso se deu pelo fato de eu ter me preparado o ano anterior inteiro antes de voltar a cidade.
Seguimos então os dias e noites de treinamento em ritmo intenso; mais de 10 horas de treino direto, com algumas pequenas pausas para almoço, janta e um descanso de leve nesses intervalos.


SiFu num final de tarde para um pouco e me diz.

- ''Se tudo der certo, iremos para a praça da Pituba treinar um pouco ao ar livre...''
- ''Legal SiFu, o calor está f* mesmo...

We were in Salvador, was December and a huge heat hindered and our performance. However, my Si Hing Joao Gilberto, despite anything, offered to do the checking my basic on the first day of training, a Sunday and was all ok. Physical training proceeded normally and my performance was very good! Obviously this was due to the fact that I have prepared me all last year before returning to town.
Then we follow the days and nights of intense training in rhythm; more than 10 hours of direct training with a few short breaks for lunch, dinner and a slight break in these intervals.

Como tudo correu bem dentro do Mogun e SiFu já tinha visto e resolvido alguns assuntos de ordem pessoal, tudo contribuiu para que fossemos. Não me lembro exatamente mas acho que pegamos um Taxi e somente na volta, pegamos um ônibus. Enfim...

Like everything went well in the mogun and SiFu had seen and solved some issues of personal, it helped us to be. I do not remember exactly but I think we took a taxi and only in the back, took a bus. Anyway ...

Chegamos a praça da Pituba, um lugar bem arborizado com equipamentos de ginástica laboral e muito movimentado a noite. Pessoas praticando caminhada, jogando bola, correndo com seus cachorros pelo gramado...No calor, eu acho que as pessoas em Salvador ficam meio inquietas e não é pra menos...Com um calor daqueles, impossível ficar quieto.
De toda a sorte, começamos aquecendo fazendo alguns exercícios de isometria na barra fixa e de lá, fomos para uma padaria, comprar alguns sucos e água; Sim, eu já estava mais atento com a hidratação e não permitiria outra crise renal no meio de meu treinamento, que estava rendendo super bem.

All kinds, began warming doing some isometric exercises in the fixed bar and from there, we went to a bakery, buy some juices and water; Yes, I was close with hydration and not allow other renal crisis in the middle of my training, I was earning very well.

Seguimos então para um campo mais aberto e começamos a praticar alguns fighting drills...SiFu ia me explicando a estratégia, os conceitos do movimento, quais os melhores momentos de aplica-los e fomos vendo tudo isso na prática. Eu me lembro exatamente quais foram e para não alongar muito, não os vou detalhar aqui. Mas quando estávamos treinando, comecei a não facilitar pra SiFu na troca de golpes para treinar essa cobertura, e SiFu também não facilitava pra mim...Repetimos os movimentos sabe Deus por quanto tempo....

Numa das pausas, o telefone de SiFu toca;

- ''Venham então? Tem mais alguém com ele SiFu?''

- È velho, o Leonardo tá la na escola com o Hugo...''

Eu disse isso mas me lembro que pensei exatamente assim;

Até então, eu não tinha muita ideia de como um lutador profissional do UFC e que já tinha participado do TUF ( The ultimate Fighting ) poderia aproveitar algum principio do sistema Wing Chun em seu jogo. Quer dizer, eu fazia alguma ideia, porque SiFu já treina lutadores top há algum tempo e o Hugo, junto com o Everton Teixeira ( campeão mundial do K1) já estavam com esse trabalho com SiFu e o  SiFu sempre falava desse trabalho com o Hugo....mas eu nunca tinha visto IN LOCO como isso era feito. E é obvio que isso tem uma diferença. Eu tinha algumas ideias pre-concebidas á respeito de como um lutador profissional se comporta e tudo, mas tive uma das maiores lições sobre arte marcial que eu já tive até hoje...

Enquanto eles não chegavam, continuamos o nosso treinamento. Seguiam-se as técnicas do segundo nível do sistema que eu estava aprendendo e treinávamos o mais duro que podíamos. Estávamos rendendo muito bem e SiFu sempre me advertia pra que quando eu retornasse a Recife, não negligenciasse essas técnicas.

Depois de um efusivo abraço e feita as devidas apresentações, começamos a conversar sobre os bastidores do UFC, sobre as técnicas em sí, o trabalho que SiFu vem fazendo com o Hugo e algumas histórias do Wing Chun em Salvador, já que Leonardo é um praticante de Wing Chun muito antigo. Eu mais ouvia do que falava e  estando ali, não tinha muito o que acrescentar...Eu estava entre os grandes!

Um dos pontos mais importantes é se manter coberto enquanto chuta...Você pode fazê-lo assim ( mostra o movimento) ou assim...(mostrando o movimento que aparentemente era o mesmo,mas não era o mesmo exatamente)....''

Aquilo em impressionou! SiFu tinha me dado algumas ideias de como era esse chute e eu tinha passado o dia inteiro tentando ''pegar'' essa técnica, sem muito sucesso. O Hugo só observou SiFu fazer duas vezes e aprendeu na hora!
- ''Isso ai Hugo. Mas também existem algumas sequencias de dois e três tempos que você pode fazer...Dido, coloca ai os protetores de antebraço e as luvas...''

Então comecei a mandar, sem avisos, combos de soco e chute para SiFu e ele fazia exatamente a técnica. Depois ele mandava pra mim, sem me avisar qual lado, se alto ou baixo o mesmo combo pra que eu também pudesse treinar a técnica. Não me lembro de ser atingido, mesmo SiFu querendo me bater, mas isso é o de menos...Cara, com mil diabos! O Pak Sau de SiFu começou a  QUEBRAR meu protetor de antebraço e o seu tapa começou a atingir diretamente o meu braço! Como estava com o ''sangue quente'', nem me importei na hora, mas somente começou a doer depois...No dia seguinte, quando estava praticando a forma Chum Kiu, meus braços tremiam e eu não conseguia controlar; Resultado do Choque do Pak Sau de SiFu no meu nervo radial...

Mas naquela noite, vez por outra, minhas luvas desamarravam e minhas caneleiras soltavam. Eu utilizava 3 caneleiras amarradas para poder suportar o bombardeio de SiFu e a cada vez que eu o chutava, era como se chutasse uma quina de coluna, quase tipo como o Tong Po fazia no filme do Van Damme sabe? A diferença era que doía de verdade!!

E quando eu tentava amarrar, com muita dificuldade, o Hugo se prontificava e vinha me ajudar...

- ''Peraí bicho, deixa eu amarrar aqui...''
- ''Obrigado!'' Dizia eu timidamente...

Da segunda e terceira vez que chutei SiFu na cabeça e ele colocou seu Ganh Sau encaixado e com explosão, minhas caneleiras soltaram. o Hugo se abaixava para amarrar...

- ''O SiFu bate forte né? (risos)''
- ''Muito (risos)..Obrigado..''

E assim fomos por mais dois ou três rounds de repetições técnicas até SiFu conseguir imprimir a ideia que ele queria passar...

Logo então, Leonardo e Hugo se despediram, e seguiram o caminho de volta. SiFu combinou com eles alguma coisa após a minha partida de volta a Recife, que se daria em alguns dias ainda á frente. Logo, estaríamos guardando nosso equipamento para seguirmos para casa. O dia de treino estava findado.

No caminho, tomamos um ônibus para o bairro do Mo Gun e antes , paramos um pouco no famoso Acarajé da Dinha...aliás, acho que era um bar antes do dela, mas nas mesmas mediações. Sentamos e pedimos uma cerveja e comer alguma coisa, além de jogar algum papo fora, como de costume. Enquanto esperávamos a cerveja, SiFu falou;

- ''Você notou o que o Hugo fez hoje?''
- ''Não...''
Respondi de imediato porque ainda estava pensando com como ele aprendeu aqueles chutes tão rapidamente...

- ''Velho, ele lhe deu uma aula de humildade e respeito. O cara é um lutador profissional. No entanto, ele se abaixava e amarrava sua caneleira sem problema nenhum. Se prontificou o tempo todo em lhe ajudar. Esse é o tipo de postura que mostra o quanto de espírito guerreiro ele tem! Não é todo mundo que faria isso...''

Eu fiquei pensando sobre isso alguns minutos, em silêncio, enquanto SiFu fitava a noite movimentada na avenida principal,  esperando sua cerveja...

Fiquei calado até que as cervejas chegassem. Antes de dar o primeiro gole, esperando por SiFu, falei algo como;

- ''È SiFu, hoje foi um dia histórico...Vou levar isso comigo pro resto da vida. Estou feliz de estar aqui com você vivenciando isso...''

SiFu deu um meio sorriso e dando um gole na cerveja gelada disse;

- ''Esquente não. Amanhã teremos outro dia de trabalho...''


I was thinking about it a few minutes in silence while staring SiFu a busy night on the main avenue, waiting for your beer ...I was silent until the beers arrived. Before you take the first sip, waiting for SiFu I said something like;

Antes de irmos para as notícias propriamente gostaria de fazer um esclarecimento, devido á alguns comentários nos bastidores após as ultimas postagens autorais. Talvez seja algo redundante mas nesse ponto, gostaria de fazer esse esclarecimento;

Nosso núcleo de treinamento em Wing Chun Kung Fu em Recife é ligado diretamente a Sede nacional da Brazilian Wing Chun Academy (foto), localizada em Salvador, liderada por meu SiFu, o conhecido nacionalmente SiFu Marcos de Abreu, sendo este o único núcleo em Recife ligado á sua escola e o único mestre á qual nos reportamos. Sendo assim, não há em absoluta hipótese, qualquer organização, associação, mestre ou instrutor em todo o estado de Pernambuco á qual nos reportamos ou que seguimos suas diretrizes, se não as da Brazilian Wing Chun Academy. Qualquer outra organização, associação, pessoa ou o que for que afirme  o contrário, está correndo em falso e estará sujeito ás providências cabíveis.


Agora vamos ás notícias propriamente ditas....

- O Dido também foi nomeado secretário geral para o novo corpo diretor da ''Federação Pernambucana de Kung Fu Wushu'', cujo o presidente Eduardo Souza e sua Vice, Juliana Fazio venceram as ultimas eleições ocorridas no ultimo semestre do ano passado. Nossa esperança é poder contribuir para o andamento da Federação da melhor forma possível.


Wing Chun no MMA...

- Essa é uma boa notícia para toda a família Wing Chun. Diego Reis ( na foto aplicando Lan Gurk), discípulo do SiFu Marcelo Florentino venceu mais uma lua no MMA. Desde o ano passado, Diego vem fazendo lutas e sendo um destaque em seu card, principalmente pelo fato de representar a arte do Wing Chun. Parabéns ao Diego e ao Sibaak Marcelo por mais essa conquista!

- Continuando as homenagens ao SiGung Li Hon Ki, Sibaakgung Li Wing Kay noticiou em sua página no facebook que no próximo dia 1, haverá a missa de 30 dias do falecimento de seu irmão mais novo e introdutor oficial dos estilos Hung Gar e Wing Chun na américa Latina. A missa ocorrerá na paróquia Santuário São Judas, em SP, ás 20hs.

Continuing the tributes to Sigung Li Hon Ki, Sibaakgung Li Wing Kay reported on his Facebook page that on June 1, there will be a 30-day Mass of the death of his younger brother and official introducer of styles Hung Gar and Wing Chun in America Latina. The Mass will take place in the parish St. Jude Shrine, SP, ace 20hs.
