A série foi exibida na globo em meados de 2012 e confesso, naquele momento, eu não dava a mínima...achava meio babaquinha até... Mas ai de tanto que minha esposa insistiu pra que assistíssemos, resolvi dar ''uma chance'' pra esse seriado...e fui surpreendido!!E de tão boa, baixei todas as quatro temporadas!
Recently I decided to watch along with my wife one of the coolest series that already could see; Revenge!
The series was shown here in brazil on the globo Tv in mid-2012 and I admit, at that time, I did not care ... thought through a litle douchbag up ... But woe to both my wife insisted to that see it togheter, I decided to give '' a chance ' 'to this show ... and was surprised !! and so good, I downloaded all four seasons!
A série conta como Amanda Clark/Emily Thorne parte para a vingança ao descobrir a verdade sobre seu pai, David Clark que foi preso por terrorismo e morto na prisão, mas que na realidade foi acusado injustamente pelos Greysons, uma família poderosa de um balneário chamado Hemptons, num esquema de corrupção entre empresas.
Amanda Clark passa boa parte da adolescência num reformatório e quando sai de lá, descobre toda a verdade,já que seu pai deixou uma caixa com seus diários apontando quem foram os verdadeiros culpados... Ela então segue para o Japão para ser treinada pelo misterioso Mr. Takeda e após longo treinamento, volta aos Hemptons como Emily Thorne, determinada a punir os culpados pela prisão e morte de seu pai...
Até ai a história é bem interessante. Emily/Amanda, me lembravam em vários momentos um de meus personagens dos quadrinhos favoritos, Batman/Bruce Wayne. Mas ao longo da série fui esperando pra ver como o seu treinamento fez com que ela entendesse sobre ''a arte da guerra'', já que muitas passagens da série davam a entender que os produtores leram muito o antigo livro de Sun Tzu.
The series counts as Amanda Clark / Emily Thorne looks for revenge to find out the truth about his father, David Clark who was arrested for terrorism and killed in prison, but in fact was wrongly accused by Greysons, a powerful family of a resort called Hemptons in a corruption scheme between companies.Amanda Clark spends much of adolescence in a reformatory and when he goes out there, discover the whole truth, since his father left a box with your daily pointing who the real culprits ... She then goes to Japan to be trained by the mysterious Mr. Takeda and after long training, back to Hemptons as Emily Thorne, determined to punish the guilty for the arrest and death of his father ...Until then the story is quite interesting. Portanto, não existem somente cenas de ação, mas também existem situações na série que mostram como Emily manipula situações e tira o máximo proveito delas para alcançar seus objetivos, mobilizando as pessoas á agirem como ela espera.
Seu mestre, Mr. Takeda, interpretado por Hiroyuki Sanada e na segunda temporada por Cari -Hiroyuki Tagawa, é um mestre que tem uma ''escola de vinganças'', onde treina pessoas para se vingarem de quem as prejudicou ...Ok, isso não é lá um dos melhores argumentos para justificar uma supostamente discreta ''escola de treinamento marcial/militar'' no Japão...mas enfim...o Mais legal é que, na residência do Mr. Takeda nos E.U.A, lá no cantinho da sala, aparece timidamente um Muk Yan Jong...O que já tinha me chamado a atenção...
E não é que em um dos episódios, lá pela terceira temporada da série, nossa heroína treina em um Muk Yan Jong em sua própria casa?
Pois é...
His teacher, Mr. Takeda, played by Hiroyuki Sanada and in the second season by Cari -Hiroyuki Tagawa, is a teacher who has a '' vendettas school 'where trains people to avenge themselves on those who hurt ... Okay, it is not there one of the best arguments for a supposedly discreet '' martial / military training school '' in Japan ... but anyway ... the more cool is that, at the residence of Mr. Takeda in the US, there in room corner, shyly comes a Muk Yan Jong ... what had my attention ...
And is not that one of the episodes, there for the third season of the series, our heroine trains in a Muk Yan Jong in your own home?

E em outro episódio ainda, ela me lembrou o fatídico episódio em que Yip Ching, filho do meio do patriarca Yip Man quebrou um dos ''braços'' do boneco de madeira em uma demonstração ( Confira o vídeo)...Emily/Amanda também quebra o Jong, enfurecida...
And in yet another episode, she reminded me of the fateful episode in which Yip Ching, the middle son of the patriarch Yip Man broke one of the 'arms' of the wooden man on a demonstration (Check the video) ... Emily / Amanda also breaks the Jong's arm, with angry ...
Mas apesar de tudo, Emily não remente na história a N'g Mui ou a Yim Wing Chun. Muito pelo contrário...Como não poderia deixar de ser, algumas gafes são cometidas em Revenge, como ela praticar ''espancando'' o boneco de madeira com movimentos aleatórios mixados a movimentos da forma, ou mesmo treinar de kimono (!!!)
But after all, Emily dont remind me to N'g Mui or Yim Wing Chun. Quite the contrary ... How could it be, some blunders are committed in Revenge, as she practice '' beating up '' the wooden man with random movements mixed the form movements or training using a kimono (!!!)
Ainda assim, muito melhor do que Anderson Silva batendo no Makiwar...ops, no Muk Yan Jong, como se não houvesse amanhã...

Mas isso não tira a graça nem o charme de se ver uma mulher praticando Wing Chun (?) em uma série de TV. Sempre fica me soando como uma ''citação com licença poética'' para o estilo. O que em determinados casos, e esse é um deles, acaba se tornando algo muito legal.
Se você não assistiu ainda, espero que um dia possa dar uma olhada nessa série!
But that does not take away grace or charm to see a woman practicing Wing Chun (?) In a TV series. Always gets me sounding like a 'quote with poetic license' 'for style. What in some cases, and this is one of them turns out to be something very cool.
