Blog do Dido; Qual foi o seu primeiro contato com o 'Wing Chun? Como você encontrou o seu SiFu e como foi o treinamento nesses primeiros anos?
SiFu Santi Pascual; Meu primeiro conhecimento sobre o Wing Chun foi para o ano de 1978, pelo então eu tinha livros e revistas abundantes falando sobre esse estilo, discutindo suas origens e sua composição técnica.
Mas não foi até 1984 que comecei a estudar por um período de tempo com uma pessoa que tinha as bases e fundamentos do sistema, mas não de uma forma muito refinada.
Em 1986 eu conheci o meu Si Fu Nino Bernardo em uma palestra que aconteceu em Madrid, para mim, era um encontro inesquecível porque ele tinha uma técnica e um carisma que imediatamente me cativou. Em seguida, dois de meus Si hing e eu estávamos conversando como poderíamos ser aceitos como estudantes e a resposta foi que devemos ir a Londres para seu Kwoon e depois decidir. Então, em 1987, fiz minha primeira viagem a Londres e começou a minha formação na escola antiga e lendária "The Basement".Em seguida, na Escola Basement, ele treinou com uma atmosfera semelhante à de sabor Hong Kong, treinando com meus Si Hings em Chi sao foram realmente difíceis, mas também cheio de detalhes e informações.

SiFu Santi Pascual; É uma questão que exige uma explicação bastante longa, uma vez que deve abordar diferentes aspectos dessas duas pessoas, mas vou tentar ser breve e claro, do meu ponto de vista resposta.
Sikung, tinha uma abordagem baseada em competências que podem obter através de Wing Chun de uma maneira lógica e se você quiser chamá-lo de desenvolvimento científico da luta.
Blog do Dido; Você poderia compartilhar alguma história memorável com nossos leitores ao longo dos anos de prática, ensino e desenvolvimento da "Wing Chun"?
SiFu Santi; Bem, depois de tantos anos envolvidos no sistema de prática e difusão tenho algumas anedotas.
Mas eu acho que, em vez de expor algo pessoal meu, vou comentar algo que talvez alguns fãs de Wing Chun possam não saber, mas é sobre o aspecto técnico do Wing Chun.SiKung explicou-me que na década de 50, quando começou sua prática com o seu Sifu Ip Man,na forma Siu Lim Tao, faltava movimento do 'Gaun Sau' que cobre a área de tronco inferior. Naquela época um dos Bei Mo (a luta entre as escolas de Kung fu) a luta com um adversário que seus ataques foram baseados em cobriu a cabeça com uma mão e golpear com o punho da outra mão para a parte inferior do abdômen. Mesmo SiKung tendo vencido essa luta, muitos golpes foram apenas parcialmente de pé com Jum Sao, por isso, quando ele chegou em casa eu falo sobre esta situação com Ip Man, que decidiu entrar para a prática Gaun Sao de Siu Lim Tao como antigamente
Blog do Dido; Através da prática e desenvolvimento do seu "Wing Chun", eu tive a oportunidade de conhecer vários professores em suas viagens. Você poderia nos dizer quais eram alguns desses encontros com alguns desses grandes mestres?
SiFu Santi; Felizmente esses anos eu tenho sido capaz de conhecer alguns dos Sifus das gerações mais velhas.
Falar sobre eles é estar falando não só de Kung fu, mas das próprias pessoas, cada um separadamente tinha seu caráter especial e sua personalidade algumas outras pessoas com talento incrívelmente simples. Mas eu acho que todos eles eu sentia sempre que poderia obter alguma informação e conhecimento para mim. Eu acho que o importante é ser humilde com cada praticante e professor, ouvir e alavancar o seu conhecimento para o seu desenvolvimento de Wing Chun

Blog do Dido; Você é o autor do livro "A Arte de Wing Chun", o que na minha opinião é uma das melhores da literaturas sobre arte marcial chinesa. Como foi o processo de feitura do livro e como foi a aceitação do público espanhol em relação a este trabalho?

SiFu Santi; Em primeiro lugar devo dizer muito obrigado por seu elogio para o meu livro, mas eu considero um bom livro e nada mais.
A idéia de escrever o livro foi pelo impulso e incentivo de alguns de meus ex-alunos, pois eu inicialmente não estava muito interessado por escrever.
Mas, na minha formação Wing Chun, eu acredito que a aprendizagem deve ser como um diploma universitário, de modo que o livro era como minha tese após a graduação.
Eu também pensei que seria um bom legado e referência para as gerações posteriores de praticantes.
Quanto à aceitação na Espanha e em outros países, realmente me surpreendeu um pouco, eu não acho que muitas pessoas o lêem.
Blog do Dido; Como você pode avaliar o desenvolvimento do Wing Chun sistema no seu país?
SiFu Santi ; Hoje na Espanha há muito Wing Chun, diferentes linhagens e escolas, todo mundo tem seu pessoal, alguns mais ligada à sua origem e mais fundido com diferentes artes de combate abordá-lo.
Eu não sou alguém para julgar o Wing Chun em qualquer escola, eu acho que todo mundo está tentando fazer e passá-lo da melhor forma possível.
Eu só posso falar sobre como o "sabor do nossa Wing Chun". E eu estou muito orgulhoso dos meus alunos e instrutores, porque nós realmente conseguimos formar uma família de Kung Fu.
Blog Do Dido; Wong Shun Leung Sifu foi especialmente conhecido como o 'Rei Gong Sau', ganhando vários confrontos em Hong Kong. No entanto, hoje, muitos Sifus tradicionais discordam que praticantes de Wing Chun devem participar ambientes como UFC. Qual é a sua opinião?

Blog do Dido; Mesmo depois de tantos anos de treinamento, ensino, prática e desenvolvimento,o leva o senhor á ainda estar praticando e treinando duro? O que você considera como o principal fator para um praticante de Wing Chun pode treinar duro todos esses anos?
SFu Santi; Para praticar algo ao longo de muitos anos, tem de ter emoção, e eu ainda tenho essa emoção, fora isso, fico feliz com o que eu estou ensinando e feliz vendo os meninos aprender e desenvolver o seu kung fu.
Wing Chun também me dá uma maneira de me manter fisicamente e emocionalmente bem.

Dido's Blog: What was your first contact with the 'Wing Chun'? How did you find your SiFu and how was training in those early years?

SiFu Santi; First I must say thank you for your praise for my book, but I just consider it a good book and nothing else.
The idea of writing the book was by the push and encourage some of my former students gave me, as I initially was not very interested in writing.
But in my Wing Chun training, I believe that learning should be as a university degree, so the book was like my thesis after graduation.
I also thought it would be a good legacy and reference for later generations of practitioners.
As for acceptance in Spain and other countries, really surprised me a little, I did not think many people read it.
Dido's Blog; How can you see the development of Wing Chun system in your country?

I can only talk about how the "flavor of our Wing Chun" And I'm very proud of my students and instructors because we actually managed to form a family of Kung Fu.
Dido's Blog; Wong Shun Leung Sifu was especially known as the 'King Gong Sau', winning several confrontations in Hong Kong. However, today, many traditional Sifus disagree that Wing Chun practitioners must participate environments like UFC. What is your opinion?
SiFu Santi; As I mentioned earlier, every school and Wing Chun lineage carries the position to create more accurate. In my opinion not question whether right or wrong, it is the path of each.
For me the Wing Chun was conceived and developed to preserve a fighting art which can help you, your famila, friends and defenseless people in distress.
But beyond the fight Wing Chun is impregnated with a traditional Chinese thought based on respect and moral conduct. These aspects if you think you are being lost in some teachings given day today
Dido's Blog; Even after so many years of training, teaching, practice and development, making still practiced so hard? What do you consider as the main factor for a Wing Chun practitioner can train hard all these years
SiFu Santi; To practice something over many years, you must have emotion, and I still have it, other than that I am happy teaching and seeing the boys learn and develop their kung fu.
Wing Chun also gives me a way to keep me physically and emotionally.
