Em alguns fóruns, é comum perguntarem se algum praticante de Wing Chun já auxiliou seu SiFu em alguma demonstração, seja ela pública, ou na própria escola. De toda sorte, eu já tive a oportunidade de trabalhar com SiFu neste aspecto de uma maneira bastante não-usual, na falta de um termo melhor, ajudando-o a demonstrar técnicas do sistema Wing Chun para profissionais do UFC, o que me rendeu uma das melhores experiências sobre humildade na arte marcial que eu já pude ter. Essa foi realmente uma experiência diferenciada, mas que teve como base o próprio perfil de trabalho de meu SiFu e da Brazilian Wing Chun Academy, sua escola.


E devido á esse perfil arrojado de transmissão e ensino do sistema Wing Chun nos moldes tradicionais e pelo seu trabalho de qualidade diferenciada, SiFu foi convidado para participar do Cona  - Congresso online de artes marciais - como palestrante. Para tanto, além de sua própria palestra, SiFu apresentará vídeos que foram gravados na escola Sede em Salvador para ilustrar exemplos técnicos e dar uma ideia de como é o dia-á-dia de nossa escola...

For this, in addition to his own lecture, SiFu will present videos that were recorded at the Headquarters school in Salvador to illustrate technical examples and give an idea of ​​what our day-to-day life is like ...




E qual foi a minha surpresa quando SiFu pediu-me para produzir vídeos aqui na escola núcleo Recife e auxilia-lo em sua palestra, mesmo online!! Então, da ultima semana para cá, intensificamos o treinamento e começamos a filmar os ''treinos/ensaios'' para que fizéssemos um bom trabalho.


O problema é que eu sempre fico muito inseguro com demonstrações públicas pelo simples fato de que as pessoas tem a ideia comum de que o Wing Chun é quase como um Tai Chi; Suave, simples e que não-requer esforço; Ledo engano!! Particularmente quando eu vejo alguém discutindo em algum fórum e defendendo a ideia de ''ciência marcial''...''arte simples e eficaz'', '' estilo rápido, eficiente e mortal''...e coisas do tipo, eu dou risada, mas não na intenção de desqualificar esse tipo de opinião, mas porque se você for um cara minimamente esperto, poderá até aprender rápido alguns conceitos do sistema, no entanto, REFINAR e chegar a acurácia técnica, é extremamente difícil!! E não é fácil apresentar isso para o público, seja em vídeo ou de que forma for.

And it's not easy to present it to audiences, whether in video or in any form.

Da mesma forma - e aqui eu abro um parêntese no assunto - quando posto alguma matéria técnica aqui no meu Blog e algum palhaço vem tentar nos nivelar por baixo, debater ou mesmo dizer que ''estamos errados'' de forma leviana e pedante, eu simplesmente entendo isso apenas como pessoas fracas que querem chamar a atenção para sí em cima do trabalho dos outros. Nada mais lastimável!! Não estou falando de críticas negativas ou de diferenças técnicas. Uma critica, mesmo que negativa, pode ser bastante aproveitável se você souber ponderar sobre o assunto. As diferenças técnicas variam de família para família Wing Chun e aquele que tem uma visão restritiva para o assunto, perde a oportunidade de crescer e explorar potencialidades. Tanto que nunca me restringi a falar, entrevistar e publicar textos ou matérias de mestres de outras linhagens aqui no meu Blog.   Estou falando sim de algumas pessoas que tem a obsessão em tentar de alguma forma denegrir nosso trabalho e o trabalho de SiFu de maneira gratuita. Árvore que não dá fruto não recebe pedrada, já dizia o ditado. Eu não preciso convencer ninguém de que estou certo, na minha opinião eu estou certo e não sinto ânsia em estar na mídia e nem o desespero pela atenção pública tem me subido á cabeça!


In the same way - and here I open a parenthesis on the subject - when I put some technical material here in my Blog and some idiot comes try to level us down, debate or even say that we are wrong in a light and pedantic way, I I simply understand it only as weak people who want to draw attention to themselves over the work of others. Nothing more pitiful !! I am not talking about negative criticism or technical differences. A criticism, even a negative one, can be very useful if you know how to think about it. The technical differences vary from family to family Wing Chun and one who has a restrictive view on the subject, misses the opportunity to grow and explore potentialities. So much so that I was never restricted to speaking, interviewing and publishing texts or matters of masters of other lineages here in my Blog.
 Yes, I'm talking about some people who have an obsession with trying to somehow denigrate our work and the work of SiFu for free. A tree that does not bear fruit receives no stone, as the saying goes. I do not need to convince anyone that I am right, in my opinion I am right and do not feel anxious to be in the media and not even the desperation for public attention has gotten me in the head!

Muito pelo contrário! Se hoje nossa escola obtém notoriedade e respeito no meio marcial nacional e internacional, não é difamando ninguém, muito menos comprando franquias como alguns fazem por aí (pessoas essas que obviamente não cito nomes para que estes não venham crescer suas asas em cima de minhas visualizações!) Mas nosso sucesso vem sim de um contínuo trabalho duro, levado pelo treinamento mais duro ainda! Todos os dias, incessantemente! Essa é a verdade!

Quite the opposite! If today our school obtains notoriety and respect in the national and international martial arts community, it is not defaming anyone, much less buying franchises as some do there (people that obviously do not mention names so that they do not come to grow their wings on top of my views !) But our success comes from continued hard work, driven by the hardest training yet! Every day, incessantly! That's the truth!
